We are finally home. After several of us had the flu on the way home we finally made it.Got here about 11 or so last night after getting up at 1 am that morning and driving straight through. I took off work today so i can get things back to normal. All the kids went to school so that helped:)
We had a wonderful time in Georgia and Florida. The weather finally ended up being warm. Today here at home it is suppose to snow. Yeah!!! I love the first snow.
Will post pictures later. Just wanted to let everyone know we are here and are all fine now.

we're off........
We are leaving tomorrow morning on vacation..Yeah!!!!!! We are going to my parents house for a week and then taking off to Disney. We have been there several times but our youngest has never been there before so it ought to be lots of fun!!! He is REALLY looking forward to going. The girls just like the idea of getting to leave for a while:) since they have been there.
We are driving all the way through to Georgia so it ought to be quite an experience. We told the kids they could stay up most of tonight because then they will sleep while we are driving. Good plan huh? Just hope it works and they are not too wired to sleep. We need a few hours of quiet driving so it won't seem like such a long trip.
Will fill you in with details of the trip and hopefully lots of pictures for you to enjoy.
Have a great weekend and will be back in a week and a half. Vacation here I come:)

Haven't been able to blog for a few days because i couldn't get onto blogger. I could get on any other website but not blogger. Oh well, don't really know what happened but we are back,at least for a few more days. We are taking off to Georgia on Saturday. We are traveling all the way through. Ought to be fun:P

Happy birthday Emily
Today is our middle daughter's 15th birthday. Can't believe she is that age already!!! As our tradition goes, on their 15th bday they get to go to Woodfield Mall with some of their friends to go shopping for their bday. They also get to eat dinner at Rainforest Cafe. This is a real fun place to eat.They also get to have a volcano at the cafe-which is a mountain of ice cream and brownies. Yum!!!!!(she is the one in red:)

vacation day???
The kids have today off if we decide it's ok. I know that sounds strange but there was a threatening note given to the high school and another of the elementary schools yesterday and the teachers all called and said if we decided not to send the kids today it wouldn't count against them because of the situation.The schools will all be on lock down but that still doesn't stop someone from doing anything stupid. It is sad that the world has changed so much that you feel afraid to send your own kids to school because of some whacko that wants to scare everyone.
So, today i am letting them sleep in. We decided that they can stay home. I would like the help today with the daycare kiddos anyway:) Besides i may have extra kids if their parents decide to not send them:P

I loved going to my Grandma's house at Christmas time. It was always a lot of fun getting together with our cousins and Grandma would always buy DQ Dilly bars for the kids. We had a lot of fun playing on the farm where she lived.

How do you calm down when something has really upset and/or angered you? Do you swallow it? Call a friend and rant? Go in the bathroom and cry? Punch a wall? Walk around muttering to yourself, complete with scary hand gestures?
First i count to ten...I know it sounds silly but that really gives you time to calm down. I just try to deal with whatever angered me. After i calm down i may call my friend for advice on how to deal with it.

I just think it is fun to do and i like to read other people's answers. You can get to know other people really well by some of the questions that are asked.

Reliant on computers..... not really just like to get on the internet and blog or play games or chat with family.

I have really tried to keep calm during a crisis. Taking care of young children you really have to learn to keep calm otherwise you are going to have a house full of upset people.

Busy weekend
Sorry no Photo hunt today. Our Firefox went down for a couple of days and had to use IE instead so I just didn't post. I have all my things on Firefox and like to use it.
We are getting pumpkins this weekend for Halloween. I know we are late but just too busy around here to get things done. Every weekend there is something to do. If it's not band it is a concert or have to go to dr. appointments. Today i took the day off and cleaned. Finally have a weekend to get things done around here.
Will get back to regular posting next week.

Dreaming of our trip we are taking in November with our kids to Disney. Our son has not been to Disney and he is soooooo excited. We have an M&M jar for him and he eats one every day until the day we leave. This year will be lots of fun because he is still young enough to enjoy the magic of Disney.

satuday photo hunt-lost
We went to the corn maze this month and got lost.Took us a while to get out. It is our favorite place to go in the fall. If you would like to see the maze go here and then click on the corn maze. It is a lot of fun!! They even have a haunted maze that the kids love.
